JOIN US TO TRY TO TURN $2,000 INTO $1,080,000 WITH
4 SEQUENTIAL TRADES BY OCTOBER 29, 2010!
We have four trades lined up, a biotech, a medical device, a junior gold and another biotech, to try to turn $2,000 into $1,080,000 by the end of October. Each trade is event-driven. The risks are: It’s hard for anyone to get four straight recommendations exactly right, event deadlines have and can slip, two depend on government action, and all the stocks have to be available at near-current prices when it comes time to buy them. But you keep the risk down by only starting with $2,000! Our $1,080,000 target does not involve using options or margin, although you can do that to increase the returns (and the risk!). See the MarketWatch story link below about how we have been doing recently.

The Radar Report for February 4 Is Posted
Dear New World Investor:
BioCryst (BCRX) announced results before the opening this morning, and clobbered even the highest estimates. They reported $54.9 million in revenues, with net income of $15.2 million or 35 cents a share. At the end of the quarter they had $94.3 million in cash, or $2.15 per share.
The results exceeded even the highest estimates, including mine for 25 cents to 30 cents a share. The consensus of six analysts was looking for $23.66 million in sales, but the range was from $10.62 million to $32.65 million (probably from their underwriter, Morgan Stanley). The consensus earnings estimate was nine cents a share, but the range was from a loss of 28 cents to a profit of 28 cents (the high end again probably from Morgan Stanley).
There also are six analysts with full year projections for 2010. The revenue range is a ridiculously wide $42.4 million to $165.3 million, with an earnings range from a loss of $1.19 to a profit of $1.80. Interestingly, only two analysts have published estimates for the March quarter, with revenue estimates of $10.00 million and $12.87 million, and each looking for a loss, one of 24 cents a share and one of 25 cents a share. After these results, we should see more and much higher March quarter estimates, while the low estimates for the year disappear. How long can a stock with $2.15 a share in cash that will earn $1.80 this year stay under $10 or $20 a share?
In their conference call this morning….

HULBERT NAMES NEW WORLD INVESTOR #2 FOR 2009 PERFORMANCE, +148.5%.
AND THIS EARLIER MARKETWATCH STORY:
“…over the year to date through June, New World Investor is up 50.7% by Hulbert Financial Digest count, against 4.5% for the dividend-reinvested Wilshire 5000 Total Stock Market Index.
Even more strikingly, over the past 12 months New World Investor is up 5.4% compared to negative 26.4% for the total return Wilshire 5000.
What this means is that Murphy was one of the few letter editors — heck, make that one of the very few analysts anywhere — to effectively anticipate the Crash of 2008.”
Not Familiar With New World Investor?
Investing in fast-growing companies that are part of powerful trends has been my business for almost 40 years. Experience counts in this business, to separate the hype from the reality, the real companies from the research projects, and the good managements from the bad. I wrote the book on high-tech stock investing – Every Investor’s Guide to High-Tech Stocks and Mutual Funds went through three editions and was a business best seller.
