I have put in a request to Market Surveillance at the NYSE AMEX to stop trading in Telkonet (TKO) until the company puts out a press release on the results of the vote on Proposal #3 at yesterday’s annual meeting. There is no excuse for not getting this information out immediately, especially with the stock trading down 20% (only three cents) today.

Michel,
According to the ENER website, their NiMH batteries will be in more demand as electric vehicles grow in popularity world wide. My question: is there a Nickel play in the mining sector to take advantage of the predicted increase in Nickel demand to support the growing NiMH battery demand?
Thanks,
Bob Paul
Maybe. They are all losing a ton of money right now. The safest one probably is BHP Billiton (BHP) as it is listed here and produces many different kinds of metals. Other Australian companies are more focused, but you can’t buy them on US markets. Albidon looks interesting and has a decent balance sheet. The world’s largest nickel miner is Norilsk in Russia, but I don’t think we want own any companies in Russia. When I was there nine years ago shareholder rights were a joke, and I’m not sure it’s gotten any better.
Hi Michael, two days ago I asked about your recommendations and commends about buying ENER and SNDK options. Since I did not receive any reply, I think you did not get my request because URL part was left blank. I do not know what is URL stands for.

Many subscribers only trade options on my recommendations, and I’ve heard them arguing at Money Shows about whether it is smarter to buy calls, buy the stock and sell calls, buy half a position and sell puts, etc. As long as you know what you are doing, I think options are fine. Personally, I would only buy calls on something with an event about to occur, like MELA’s filing for approval or the BCRX announcement; OR, buy LEAPs on a high-priced stock.
Good Afternoon Michael
For BCRX, you state “I expect the Emergency Use Authorization to be granted in the next six weeks” and “is imminent”. If it is an emergency, why does it take that long (six weeks) to grant EUA? Also, if it is imminent, what makes it is imminent or do we have to wait for the WHO to raise the level to 6 and declare a pandemic which is not likely to happen eventhough we have had already 14 deaths in US and these deaths may have been prevented by the IV peramivir. Also, I own this stock (BCRX) and want to transition into ARNA but need to completely understand where the 6 weeks time frame comes from or if we will really have to wait for the winter flu season when the pandemic will probably occur? Thank you, The Ron,a loyal subscriber since 2000.

It is an Emergency Authorization because the company will be allowed to sell the drug to the US and foreign governments without going through the usual FDA approval process.
It is imminent because the company says they are going nuts responding to government requests for data, manufacturing facility inspections, and so on. The government needs to get the drug into the stockpile long before the flu season starts.
Michael,
How will the 10,000,000 dose order Medimmune has received from the goverment for a H1N1 vaccine affect BCRX ?
At the bottom of The Flash Alert of June 1, 2009, I see the following: “You are not allowed to view comments on this post.”
Why ?
