Hedge fund Elliott Associates offered to buy Packeteer (PKTR) this morning for $5.50 a share. I believe their real agenda is to flush out another buyer at a higher price. Their offer puts pressure on management and the Board to respond. Packeteer is worth well over $10 a share, so I do not want you to sell your stock yet. I’ll have more on this in tomorrow’s Radar Report.
